Hello all,

I thought I would start a thread for those of us applying to HCC's Spring 2013 nursing program. I am a Veterinary Technician/stay at home mom. I'm gathering everything for my application and hoping to drop it off at HCC soon. The deadline isn't until 6/1 but they recommend turning it in at least 30 days in advance. I'm a current HCC student. I was planning on applying for Fall this year, but am now expecting a little girl to arrive in July so spring it is! My pre-req GPA is 3.86 (all A's and 1 B), I'm hoping that this is good enough to get me a spot in the program for DM evening classes. Good luck to all!

This is what I got

Hepatitis B series- Proof of immunity by vaccination( 3 doses) or titer:

If u received the 3 required doses as child, a titer is not recommended.

MMR, measles( rubeolla), Mumps, Rubella. Proof of immunity by vaccination( 2 doses) or titer.

TB- the 2 steps

Tetorifice- Tdap if immunized after 6/10/07

Varicella- ( chicken pox) If born after 1994 u must show proof of 2 doses.

Influenza- Proof of immunity by vaccination or signed waiver. This vaccination must be current ( based upon current flu season requirements). You will need to follow additional clinical requirements if u choose not to be vaccinated.

No, it is not. This one is from another college nursing program. This one may not be 100% identical from HCC , but is very close to the one u posted. The only difference is that u didn't include the Influenza, and the one that I posted didn't include the polio. I know for sure we have to get the influenza, but don't know about the Polio one.....

Student services building, right next to the admissions office. If you're coming in the main entrance it is directly to your right.

So I just received my pen light, watch, and stethoscope in the mail. On monday I will get my shoes and order my uniform. Can anyone confirm if the uniform is wine colored top and white bottom?

They changed the uniform to Port Wine bottoms and a white top. Port wine scrub jacket if desired.
