Hillsborough Community College Spring 2016 Applicants

Hi everyone!

I know it's a little early, but is anyone out there applying to HCC's Nursing program starting Spring 2016? I am, and I'm dying for this semester to be over so I can submit my app! Just wanted to start the discussion since no one else has!

The application said that it can take 12-15 weeks for a decision to be made. Fingers crossed that they make a decision earlier than that. The first four weeks have been absolute torture for me. Alright, maybe I'm being a little dramatic, but the suspense is killing me.

It's been 4 weeks guys!

I don't remember seeing anything that said 12-18 weeks. I know I should expect it to be awhile. But the last semester of applicants were posting that they got their letters in February when they applied in January. So wishful thinking I guess :(

I just went to double check Spring 2015's thread cause I haven't read it in awhile, and the first decision letter was received on Sept 6th...so yea, it's gonna be a-w-h-i-l-e.....

I decided to go back and look at the thread you were talking about, and you're right..HOW did they get an answer that fast?!?! I really hope it's that way for us! I'm getting super ancy now..that's so strange they got an answer so fast! It's never been that way on other HCC threads..😫😫😫😫

I had a lady in my Chemistry class tell me that she found out in February that she got accepted. Also, reading through last springs thread they started noticing changes in their documents as early as 5 weeks later. They did seem to notice that it was going in alphabetical order. Someone with an I last name received and update in the middle of July so fingers crossed. My last name starts with J and there are no changes in my documents. Hopefully something happens soon.

I'm wondering if the faster feedback (last semester vs the semester before) is due to adding the TEAS test as a requirement.
