Hello everyone,

So my dream since I can remember has been to become a nurse; however, it seems as if it will never happen. I recently finished my pre-requisite courses to apply to the fall semester of the HCC nursing program. While I did not get any C's I made mostly B's :blink:earning A's in two classes and one lab. I realize this is not good enough since it puts my GPA at around a 3.38. Since I did not fail any of my classes, I don't believe I will be able to retake them. Is there any possible way to retake them? Or any way to increase my GPA since they mainly look at the pre-requisite courses? If not, what other options do I have for becoming a nurse? If anyone is out there who could offer any help it would be greatly appreciated. I will submit my application regardless but I don't have any high hopes of getting accepted, if there is anyway to increase my chances I would be so grateful to find out!

I know I'm late I just joined. I sent an envelope with a stamp. They stamped it saying received and then put it in the mailbox. It ended up coming in a We Care envelope from post office.:)

Were you considered an alternate? I was considered an alternate with a GPA of 3.67. I appealed because someone else got in with the same GPA as me and her overall was lower than mine. I received a letter of denial from appeal. I graduated on Friday and when I came home I had an acceptance letter in the mail for me! I guess someone didn't want their spot. That's okay because I will kindly take it!

I was an alternate too! I received mine on Friday after graduation too! Congrats!!!!

I was an alternate with a 3.67 so this Fall had some tough competition as I was told the average was a 3.766. Someone didn't want their spot and I received a letter after graduation of Friday. Try for the Spring I know you can do it!

Hello all! I am new to this site and hope I am posting correctly. I was an alternate and kept praying that I get accepted. Welp after I appealed and got denied on Thursday. I graduated this past Friday and I had an acceptance letter in the mail for me that afternoon. Can we say God is Good! I would like if anyone can send me any information as well so that I can prepare. I have summer classes as well, but I am ready. If possible may I have the immunization form as well nmoore25@gmail? Thank you so much. I look forward to working with you all. Any pointers for this website are greatly appreciated as well!

I received an acceptance letter this weekend, my GPA is 3.58. So excited!!!
