I dont work on a Cancer unit or in chemo, rather I work in a med-surg/Neuro unit at the moment, but we occ. get patients who are diagnosed with CA while their stay with us.
I know for my hospital the normal CA 19-9 level is 0-54, but today I saw one which I would determine as "Off the charts." . His CA 19-9 was nearly 7400.
Whats the highest you've ever seen?

I'm not an oncology nurse, but occasionally I see oncology patients in my work. I once had a patient who had a level of 1.1 million that went up to 1.5 million within a week. The docs had never seen anything like it. The family was in denial, they really thought the test was wrong. It was a sad story really. The patient did end up dying, after his family finally let him go peacefully.
Holy cow!!
Im glad the family finally came to peace.
