Nursing Students NP Students

Hello! I am a rising high school senior and currently researching colleges. Initially, I was looking for schools that had a psychology program so I could become a psychologist. However, I learned about PMHNP and I started looking for nursing programs at colleges. This has really narrowed the amount of colleges available to me. I did some more research and saw that I could get a psychology degree and then enter a MSN program. Do you think this is a better route then getting a BSN? I heard that getting an undergraduate nursing degree is very stressful.

If anyone has done or knows someone who entered a MSN program with a non-nursing degree, please share your story!

Thank you so much for reading.

The beginning of a Direct Entry MSN starts out with your RN education before proceeding to the MSN education. You are not avoiding the "stressful undergraduate degree". You can not avoid getting your RN education in order to get your MSN.
