Just want to ask what's Virginia like? How 'bout the VCUHosp? what's it like?Is it a very busy hospital? well, that's all about it...thanks!!

Hello,
Virginia is beautiful year round. Spring time in Charlottesville is magnificent, Summers at the beach, fall in the mountains ... no words to describe. Politics are a nightmare so be sure to register your vote!!! Lots of good ol boys in the capitol (and the police depts.) Of course, winter can be dicy if you're in the upper half of the state, tidewater area might get some ice but usually not much, maybe a skim or two of snow is the usual. Its a great state to live in... lots of history, lots to do. Where are you thinking about moving to?
oops forgot the other question... VCU is a busy hospital One of the busiest in Metro area. Lots of research, lots of progress in many fields, great place to be if your sick. Not sure how the pay and benefits are for nurses... there are several hospitals in the area (within 30 mins of VCU) might want to do some comparative shopping to see what will yield you the greatest benefits/ environment/ education....

Hey, I just left VCUHS about a month ago (husbands job moved us). Great hospital and the pay and benefits are great. I just moved to northern Virginia. VCU is a very large and VERY busy. You will have a lot of opportunity and will gain a wide variety of knowledge there!! Good Luck.:)
