Hello,everyone,
planning to relocate to city of lethbridge, AB... any of you from there? How is the expenditure, housing, rental....? How is the nursing job market there?
Thanks for your sharing!

Well, I left there 15 years ago because the job market went south, but it is still a nice city. I think the housing is pretty reasonable compared to Calgary or Naples, FL where I'm from. It's easy to get around, but there's not an awful lot to do unless you're the really outdoorsy type. There's only 1 hospital there, but the surrounding little towns have quite a few hospitals too. Lethbridge Regional Hospital (or whatever they call it these days) seems to have jobs that are mostly "other" part time whenever I look for curiosity's sake. If you google "Chinook Health Region", you will find LRH and surrounding communities so you can check out the job market.
Good luck,
Linda

Not going there myself but you will find a thriving Lethbridge expat community on http://britishexpats.com/forum/ You may want to give it a try

That is too bad that you think Lethbridge isn't friendly. It is a small city so it is much easier to get around than Edmonton or Calgary! Plus it is warmer too and close to the mountains (but the wind can get better bad) .
If you are thinking about moving to Lethbridge I would look into the DAL facilties like Green Acres, St. Mike's or The Good Samaritian Society. Since there is so many of them you can usually find Full Time positions.
