a lot of employers are hesitant to hire foreign workers because of additional costs such as sponsoring, paying for moving costs and accommodations. however, there are lots of jobs available for lpns in alberta. especially, where i live in lethbridge. if you are really interested in working in canada, you should look into getting a work visa.
That is too bad that you think Lethbridge isn't friendly. It is a small city so it is much easier to get around than Edmonton or Calgary! Plus it is warmer too and close to the mountains (but the wind can get better bad) . If you are thinking about moving to Lethbridge I would look into the DAL facilties like Green Acres, St. Mike's or The Good Samaritian Society. Since there is so many of them you can usually find Full Time positions.
