Did anyone buy their nursing books for their start at HFCC yet? Are they all in yet?
Thanks

Hi, I think the RN books will be on the shelves on Aug. 1st. The last time I checked, they didn't even have the updated Fall 08' list yet. This info is according to the lady at the Bookstore..Hope that helps!!
Bye the way, Dean Howe said you could wait on the optional books, and buy them if you need them. Remember Reference Books are non-refundable, and cannot be taken back during book buy-back. Just an FYI. Bye!!:nuke:

Don't buy the recommended/optional books until you start classes and see if you really need them,.

I have yet to use any of the optional books yet...heck there are even a few required books that I have barley used yet haha.
LoL!! If there was one book that you think would be your best friend in the program, what would it be? Thanks!
Oh there are more than one...ha...1st semester my top 3 books were...Fundamentals of Nursing, Davis Drug guide, and Tabers dictionary. I did use other books though so don't only get those 3 :-p those were just my biggest 3.
P.S. there are different books I used more for the next semester haha.

Davis Drug Guide and Taber's....I used them both the most and would NEVER sell them.
Don't even BOTHER with that Lehne. You won't use it. Save the $75.00. Get the publishing info so you can use it for a reference, but you will NEVER use it in two years. Plus - it's heavy!
Oh I know Lehne is such a waste!...you do need to be able to reference it though (not actually use it...just say that you did haha)
Lehne was a big help to me my second year....under my nightstand lamp to make it taller over my bed so I could read at night.
