P.M. Clinicals at H.F.C.C.
Thanks for the advice!!! I think P.M. will work great for me too, since my 3 and 5 yr old are in a.m. preschool and Kinder..So that way I can be there to drop them off and pick them up. I can also have things situated before my older three come home. I hope that I can enjoy my learning experience. I am a Surg. Tech. But I have been out of work and school for 8yrs. Just came back about a yr. ago. Refreshed some classes, and took Patho. Now I am excited to get back into the swing of things!! But I am trying to ease the stress off of my family, at the same time I feel it is all on my shoulders. Then again, It is only temp. Thanks again!!!

P.M. Clinicals at H.F.C.C.
Is it true that the p.m. clinical instructors usually let you go home early, if all your work is done? Or is that just a rumor? Thanks!!

P.M. Clinicals at H.F.C.C.
Me too!!! I'm in section 2 also. But how do you know you already are in p.m. clinicals. Did you already get confirmed for p.m.? Do you think that everyone who usually wants p.m. gets it? I hope!!!

Hi. I have to have pm clinicals because my husband does not have the option to change his shift at his job. Can anyone give me any details about pm clinical? What time do they usually start the first semester? What about after that? Is it true they are usually at the farthest site? Any info would be great!! I hate not knowing what to expect!!! I'm already scared enough....Starting this Aug 08....Wish me luck!!!:redbeathe

HFCC This Fall -- Are books available yet?
Hi, I think the RN books will be on the shelves on Aug. 1st. The last time I checked, they didn't even have the updated Fall 08' list yet. This info is according to the lady at the Bookstore..Hope that helps!! Bye the way, Dean Howe said you could wait on the optional books, and buy them if you need them. Remember Reference Books are non-refundable, and cannot be taken back during book buy-back. Just an FYI. Bye!!:nuke:

anybody attending henry ford community college?
You know how I calm myself down, I say just take it one day and one test at a time!!! Don't look to far down the tunnel. You won't see the light and that is scary. Just take it one step at a time. At the same time, You must PLAN AHEAD. If that means daycare, supplies, frozen foods, saving money, refreshing on math, etc. Try to set things up ahead of time, so that you have more time later to worry about the actual program..That might even mean that your 8 & 10 yr old should take on some extra chores so that they could relieve you when you need it most. Sometimes it's those little things that get in the way of our study time, or rest. I think you will do fine. Mom's are really good at multi-tasking, and work better under pressure. It's the anxiety that builds up in anticipation of actually starting the program, not to mention the horror stories the RN grad's are telling us!! Anyways, stay positive!!

anybody attending henry ford community college?
Hi. Oh I just finished NSG 285 Patho at HFCC. I also ran out of prereq's while waiting so I decieded to take it. I'm glad I did, cause they say it'll give you an idea of what the program and their tests are like. But I am set to start the program in Aug 08'. So nervous cause I hear that the program is SOOOO HARD! I'm actually scared and can't even relax to enjoy my summer! I have five kids, ages 3,5,7,10,12. So I think You'll do fine. Just study/read the topics in the modules that they focus on. Otherwise you will over-study, and never be able to keep up with the reading. Good Luck!!
