HFCC...a lil impatient

I'm getting a lil impatient. I just want to finish with everything! I want to be accepted for this winter but I have very small chance of it! I only have 1 more class for this winter and I don't feel like taking some dumb class to fill time. I'd much rather be a nurse in 2 years than 3! Ok sorry...venting a little.

I feel the same way.I'm finishing the stuff I need to this semester to get on the waitlist,and after next semester I have no other classes to take...so I guess I sit for a year with nothing to do:o

If you haven't taken medical terminology, definitely take that. There is a test 1st year on some terms. Plus, you will understand a lot of what the instructors are talking about just by knowing some terms.

I'm sure if you talk to one of the nursing counselors they can tell you which classes to take that will even go towards a BSN.

I took that last semester. i figured I'd try micro and maybe take a language just to make myself a little more marketable

I took the NET last November & I am in this fall. I was told alot of people passed because they hadn't taken Pharm or psy253, and they really want you to get those out of the way.

NSG. office said if you were on the list by the end of winter 07 ( end of semester may07) expect to enter Fall 08. They were not sure on the end of spring 07, however, they said at the end of Summer 07, expect a wait of at least 18 months. They also said though, they tell people it takes longer to get in than it actually does. The reason is the list is fluid and people who voluntarily defered entry into the program can delay entry for someone else. Once you get an acceptance letter, you are encouraged to complete all electives, and given the option of defering to the Winter semester in order to complete classes. The longest a person can defer is one year, after that you lose your spot in line
