Well lets see 1st you have a general nursing clinical. I was on a pulmonary floor which was actually not normal they usually have more general nursing I guess. 2nd semester it is split between med surg which I was on a floor that basically had mostly pts recovering from surgery (knee, neck ect) not to many were actually sick. Same semester I also had psychiatric nursing rotation (you talk to a lot of people). 3rd semester you have 2 med surg rotations. 1st I had oncology, now I have renal. Last semester is ob, pediatric and management. Management is med surg again basically but you get 5 pts at a time.

Thank you...apparently I asked the same question back in January ( I did a search on HFCC clinicals) and amybeth was also very generous with info. So if anyone else is interested (such as my future classmates) do a search and you can see what she had to say as well. I'm just so stinking excited...I'm hopeing it stays that way...lol.

Hey all,
Just curious as to what clinicals we get to do? I've heard med/surg or course and OB but what else? Do we get to view any surgeries in the OR? I know a few who started in the fall and their med/surg rotation is on the bariatric floor...
It's so exciting and so real all of a sudden. I mean I've been waiting for what seems like forever and thinking about it almost daily but now it's actually official:yeah:. I just want to know everything:eek:...
