you emailed me with private messaging but 4 some reason i couldnt reply and i hope u find this post. its very easy to get in the nursing and i dont know anything about it too and that is why i am on here so that maybe i might find a couple of people that live there to tell me more about this. if u wanna talk, u have to join the forum instead of private msging. im excited but nervous cos im moving from dallas and it will be great if u apply and we can start together in may..............goodluck...

I thouhgt we had to take the placement test at the school before we applied for the nursing program. I would have already applied then. How did you apply without taking the placement test?

yes u had to take the placement test.....but its really easy though........i did mine before applying......but i think that u can apply before taking the placement......its just that u wouldn't be admitted fully until u provide d placement score. the admission takes a while.........so u might want to apply now so that by the time u take the placement test........you'll be done with the admission process.... if u apply online......it does ask 4 the placement scores....so u can do that first and i also think that u can get admitted into the school but just not the nursing program without the score. u can call d school just to be sure. one more thing............u don't have to take it at the school.....i called the lady in their testing center and i told her that i was in Dallas and i cant come to the school to take the test......so she asked for the area that i lived in and looked for all the places that was closest to my area to take the test, on her database, so i called them, scheduled and took the test here in Dallas and i faxed in my result and that was it....... or u can call some colleges close to u and ask if they offer the ACT COMPASS TEST, if they do.....u can take it there....

Call the testing center......they can explain better about the test......cos when i asked the nursing recruiter, she said she didn't know much bout it and she transferred me to them........here is their number..............641.683.5142 or 800.726.2585, ext. 5142 and in the mean time, u can apply online....it only asks u for details and not the tests and stuff......here is d link( http://www.ihcc.cc.ia.us/apply-online.asp) Good luck
