You regular HH nurses know about all the trouble I've had with the HH agency that I used to love, ended up quitting, then going back PRN. Long story for others.
Today I worked for the agency. I was called by the owner who re-instated me to my former hourly wage. No more per visit for me. Basically, when I had spoken up at that meeting stating my objections to being forced to go per visit because of nurses who were abusing the system that the owner did hear what I was saying. I had said I didn't think it was fair for me to be punished for the actions of others.
I am so happy to have won the battle, so to speak!

yeah dutchie
I got my check and they had gone back 2 weeks ago and made it retroactive. Cool.
BTW: Our DON who was fired...I found out today that she was fired from her previous DON position also. That agency had given her a good reference. I understand that you can't give a bad reference because that person could sue for slander but to give a good reference? The owner told me that if she gets a call for a reference she only tells them whether that person is rehirable or not. I think that's fair.
