Of course they are all hospitalized for a reason, but I keep hearing them say how their entire circle of friends cut too.
If does make me wonder if some of these kids truly have a psychiatric disorder. Cutting because it's trending in their social circle does not necessarily mean they're Axis II.

My previous job was in the community working with adults. I now work inpt with all ages and have been working mostly c&a recently. I've noticed a disturbing trend with cutting among the teenage girls. Of course they are all hospitalized for a reason, but I keep hearing them say how their entire circle of friends cut too. Back when I was in high school, I definitely knew people who cut but they definitely were not open about it and it wasn't such an organized thing. Anyone else noticing this too?
