hello everyone,
i love that i found this site and i think everyone here helping are awesome.
i have been out of high school a very very long time ago and i have no college experience. i am starting my "second career" schooling as a registered nurse.
i am barely beginning my nursing schooling. i'm in phoenix, az. and am planning on attendeding apollo college for thier 2 year reg. nurse degree. so they told me the first thing i need to do is take the hesi a2 test and the cpat test. they say the hesi is testing on math, reading comprehension and vocabulary. they told me to go online and find free study guides. well i've tried finding them but i have come up empty handed. mostly i get directed to a study guide to buy published by mometrix media llc called cpat secrets study guide. i don't know if this is what i should be getting. i have no idea if it will help me for my test or will it just help me out of my $$$. and for the hesi they have a study guide for it as well. people keep telling me i shouldn't have to buy it online it's a waste of money and that i can get the study guides for free. but they cant say where these are.
i've read other posts here for people asking about "what's on" the hesi test, the answers allot of time just say get the study guide, study it, the questions are in the guide. soooo i guess my main question is, where do i get the right study guide that is recommended for the hesi and the cpat.
thank you for any help or info you'd send me. very appreciated.

HC - I just took the HESI A2 last Thursday. The study guide did help considerably and was instrumental in my high scores.
I found it online from a used college textbook site. a gal who dropped out of school and was selling all her books. I was lucky and got it for $7 delivered. I just did a search for "used HESI A2" and got lucky.
If you do a search for some of my posts, I gave some pointers and included some information that were on the test.
There was a free study guide online a couple months ago - all 100 or so pages of it. I got the website here on this site and was able to access it once.
Then one day, it was gone! So I bought the guide and believe me, it was money well spent! In fact, I woulda paid twice what I did!
thank you for your answers. i will try again to find it for free. since you say it (the hesi a2) was what helped you get high score i better look more into finding it even if i have to "buy" it. i also saw the address in someone else's post from a while back, but when i went to that site, it wasn't available anymore.
thanks again for your time and knowledge.

Okay this may be a crazy question but I'm going to ask anyway...the studyguide for HESI that you are referring to is for the HESI entrance exam or for the HESI exit exam?
sorry i didn't say sooner. it is the hesi a2 test which i thought was an entrance exam.
thank you.

Hi!
I need help, I am about to take the LPN exam. Will this Hesi A2 help me as well? Does anyone know anything about the Mometrix Media book for $39.99? Is this a good tool to purchase? Should I buy it? Recommendation are highly needed. I want to pass!
Thanks,
