I'm starting my last semester in Nursing school this Jan and am worried about the Hesi exit our school requires to graduate. We took a custom hesi exam when going from 2nd to third level and it was a pain. The school only gives 2 chances at this test to make a 900, if you do not make 900 you have to come back the following year to repeat the level. Can anyone give me a heads up on the exit exam?

We too will be taking our exit HESI exam. Ours is next Wednesday, and I am preparing by taking Kaplan review this week and doing lots of questions.
Good luck. The best news is that we can repeat the HESI but still have graduated our program, so there's not that pressure on us..

I took the exam Wednesday. Our class had to get 850 to graduate, and we all passed. We took the HESI review class and most of us purchased the HESI NCLEX-RN Review study manual with CD. The manual with CD was about $55 and a good investment. It covers all the basics. The CD has 5 or 6 practice exams with rationales.
It worked for us, but I think reviewing a decent NCLEX review book and going through as many questions (with rationales) as you can will prepare you.
About the exam itself: 160 questions that cover about everything.

We are also required to pass the Exit HESI with an 850, but unfortunetly we only get one chance before graduation, which happens to be Monday morning. We have taken HESI test throughout nursing school, but are all still a bit nervous because of only getting one chance to pass. We have taken the Kaplan review course and all have the HESI book, so hopefully we will pass with flying colors and all graduate. Starting to study a little bit at a time now will help. Good Luck!

HELP! I am graduating and we have to take the Exit HESI to get our diplomas. I have already taken it 3 times...815, 756, 816 are my scores...Need an 850...I have used Saunders, Springhouse, Kaplan, and the HESI book to study. I have done over 5,000 questions since September, I don't know why I can't pass this thing. Anyone have any advice? Thanks! Next retake is in 9 days!

Follow what I have posted above in the sticky called the first tip of my program. That alone has gotten quite a few thru their Exit HESI.
Best of luck on your exam.
