HESI ENTRANCE EXAM - Chamberlain College of Nursing - Pearland, Tx

Published

Hey!

So I went and took my exam this past friday, the 5th of June..

First let me say this, I used the Admission Assessment Exam Review 3rd Edition... it is very helpful, but also use other resources as well.. any biology, a&p, ect. books.

The exam wasn't as bad as I thought,

Reading - Not bad, just take your time to read each passage.

Math - Basic math, there is a calculator the computer provides for you.. very helpful.

Vocab - Just like the book for the most part, if there was a work I didn't, I used context clues that helped me answer them.

Bio - Just know the phases of Mitosis and Meiosis, and basic cell funitions

Chemistry - Was def. a subject I was nervous about but I actually did the best in this subject. It was pretty basic and not too detailed questions.

A&P - Know locations of bones, and if something is Distal, lateral, inferior, ect... things like that.

I had to take all subjects but Physics.

Hope to find out if I got accepted or not within the next few weeks.

Feel free to ask me any questions but trust me, I was stressing trying to prep for this exam.. but DO NOT STRESS! Seriously, it isn't as bad as we expect it to be.

Plus, if you already know the basics of these subjects, just review review review. And you'll do fine!

Hi, there! We have moved your post to the HESI Exam forum where others who are preparing to take the HESI are more likely to encounter your helpful tips.

Hi, I took my hesi entrance exam last week and passed it with a 95!!! I studied the hesi admission assessment exam review book edition 3! It was very helpful!! Most of the words in the vocab section were on my test buy some were not so definitely study the book vocab section and also another source will help! But the book was amazing and helped me a lot!

Trying hard not to stress too bad! Are there a lot of element based questions or is it more general? I'm trying to learn the table and groups but it seems like so much information that might not be useful! Thanks for the review it makes me feel a little better 😀

Taking my exam there tomorrow... hope I do well!

The only subject that are detailed is a&p really.. The others were basic. What campus are you applying too? Hope this helps!

You can do it!

How did you do on the exam? Any help on the A&P part
