Hesi for Chamberlain BSN

Published

Hello, I have applied to Chamberlain Nursing School for this coming summer semester. I am taking my Hesi exam next week. Does anybody know how Chamberlain calculate their hesi overall average? What Hesi average counts toward admission? I know every school is different, however I want to make sure I am well prepared for next week. I have studied my butt off for three weeks. I work a full time job which doesn't help either!

Any information will be appreciated!

From what I know they only focus on your math and english/writing scores and you must make above a 75% you will have the cumulative score and overall score

Thank you ! I was so worried since I haven't been in school for awhile. At the moment, I'm studying grammar and vocabulary.

Did you take your Hesi?

Which campus are you going to?

Did you take your Hesi?

No. I had an appointment two years ago with an admissions advisor. She looked over my transcript and recommeded me raise my GPA before applying so I could qualify for a new student scholarship. I found out later I was pregnant and had a miscarriage soon after.

After I was healed from a D&C went bad I went to college for phlebotomy certificate. Had my son and noe taking core classes at my local college to transfer in.

I've heard that the hesi isn't hard if you study. Threads on here say that people did better than they think they did. Theres a link on chamberlain website with a recommended study guide.

I plan on applying next year

Awesome. Then by next year, your GPA will be good for their scholarship. I saw the Hesi info. on Chamberlain website. It seems that every nursing program require different Hesi cumulative for acceptances.

I'm going to Atlanta campus, hopefully soon.

Have you been to open house?

Not yet. I was planning to go this past Saturday, but due to the weather, they cancelled it. :sorry: Have you been to their open house? One of my former classmates from college just graduated from Chamberlain. He has a job already lined up for him at a great hospital.

Nope. I was looking forward to this one. :( thats great. I figured clinicals would be great experience since Atlanta hospitals are so busy and well known.

The weather really screwed up everything! There is another one in Feb.I'm planning to attend that one. How about you? Atlanta has amazing hospitals so it would be definitely be a good experience. I am ready to put in the work and dedication for school. I've always wanted to be a nurse, but it was put on hold for 6 years. I was a CNA for a few years.

Yeah, I've registered for February :) hoping it works out lol I was a CNA until I got a job paying more closer to the school. 6 years sucks. I'm glad your doing it. Some people don't don't go back to school
