Hesi A&P part

Published

Hello everyone,

I am going to be taking the Hesi exam on july 8th. I have not taken A&P classes because i will be taking them in the fall. The cut off dates for application into the adn program is September 1st. So is there a breakdown on how i can study this section and pass. Are there books, i have the elsevier 3 edition book someone please help. I need a a&p tutor in Houston, TX

use a textbook and i recommend khan academy and crash course.

is there any specific system that is talked about in detail. Or any other thing I should study

Hello!

I took my HESI about two weeks ago and I can tell you what I remember it being over! Especially the A&P part:

-Know what surrounds organs

-Read about the cell (and I mean everything about the cell)

-Know the thoracic cavity

-The planes and directions (distal, proximal, anterior...so on)

-Read up on the kidney

-Know your bones and muscles

-Know the brain, the lobes, and what each part can do (ex. what is the frontal lobe responsible for?)

-Know all your tissues

-Know your heart

That is the most I can recall from the AP section of the test and a lot of it is just the basic AP but I know that not taking a class would be really hard not knowing what to study or expect on this test! I hope this helps some!! Good luck(:

Thank you sheanoblem! I am a new member to the forum . And so far all the posts I have read have been extremely helpful, especially yours . Can you tell me what the math sections are like? What will be covered on the hesi assessment? This section is my greatest concerns. Thank you so much
