I was wondering what did everyone use to study for the HESI entrance exam... I'm nervous to take it since I'm in chemistry right now and struggling with that class and trying to balance studying the HESI exam at the sametime. I've been studying the evolve admissions A2 book and its very general. I heard the Math and Reading sections hit on point but the Vocabulary is basically you know it or you don't. Did it help you guys with the A&P and Chemistry sections of the exam or everyone used other study materials ? I was thinking about buying Barron's Nursing School Entrance Exams, and NLN RN Pre-Entrance Exam books, and A&P for dummies as a refresher. Because the evolve review book for those sections are very basic and not detailed.

The test is very general also. The study guide is great for review. The subject matter in the guide covers the subject matter that was on my test. If there are topics in the guide you aren't 100% comfortable with you should refer to your text or outside resources. I'm not saying every answer was in the study guide (ESP for the sciences) but it does give you the topics to follow up on.

I used the HESI study guide book for the exam. I actually thought the math section/conversions would be my tough area but the reading section was difficult to me. PArt of the reading is about drawing conclusions and it was difficult because it wasn't normal conclusions. Anyway, I still ended up with an overall "A" on the exam. I also did not have an A&P section on my test since the school didn't require it for entrance exam.
