I’ve been accepted to Herzing University starting May 10. Those of you that are in the program, how is it for you? I’ve been accepted to 2 other programs. But want to see if I can get feedback from current students. How’s the class load? A lot of busy work? Quizzes, discussion questions, papers, clinicals, etc. Live presentations or just Youtube videos?
Thanks in advance

I am set to start FNP July 12th..... So far everything seems focused on Financial aid. I think I completed the tutorials to start. I think PMHNP and FNP have a bunch of the same core courses.... I like their ABC semester breakdown (from appearance). I prefer one course at a time. I think I opted out of the $400 textbook fee to the $125 one, but I buy my own books. I prefer books made with paper rather than digital ones, though sometimes I may prefer both. So, haven't started yet, just posting to hijack the thread. ?

I received a call about financial aid as well. I’m waiting to see what my schedule will be. I prefer to get my own books as well.
Are you in any of the FB groups?
Well, I wasn't. But I just applied to 3 Herzing FNP groups. I get a bit overwhelmed with tons of social media. I wonder if there's a Discord. ?

Hey everyone,
Is there anyone doing the RN to BSN to MSN, or RN to MSN? I have my ASN & trying to figure out which path to take. I do work F/T 3 12hr shifts as a Psych RN, & have 3 kids 16, 14, 8. If anyone can give me a run down on either program when it comes to amount of work & time to complete, I'd appreciate it. I just want to make sure it's doable.

I completed my BSN at Herzing in April and was automatically accepted into the PMHNP program. The BSN wasn't bad at all and I completed in 8 months. This included being full time and taking 3 classes each 8 weeks during the Spring semester. Since I took the 4 dual credit courses, I will graduate the PMHNP program next December.
As for the BSN coursework, it was alot of papers. Very few tests were on the BSN portion. I worked almost 50 hours a week in a Mon-Fri job and rarely had to do any school work on the weekends. It's not bad at all and worth it. Hope this helps.

I start the MSN-PSYCH program on July 12th anyone else? I also don’t know what to expect as I don’t know anyone who attended this school. I’m guessing the cost of books are separate!?

I’m starting the post masters pmhnp program on the 12th of this month! I have 4 yrs snf/rehab exp and I’ve currently been working in NICU for 4yrs. I just recently started a per diem treatment facility doing inpatient detox. I just finished my MSN (general-no specialty) in dec 2020. Any advice? Thanks in advance!!

Hi I would like to know more about the program for those already in it. I applied for the fall PMHNP program and am awaiting for responses to decide between other programs. How are the classes like? Are Professors easily accessible? What does each class comprise of, quizzes, exams, discussion board? Are the exams proctored for each class also? How are you liking the program so far? Do you think they prepare you enough for boards and practicing after graduation? Thanks and hoping to hear from someone.
