Hello.
If a person tests positive for hepatitis B core antigen and antibodies, meaning he has had hepatitis b but it cleared off, does this situation affects his chances for getting hired as CRNA?
Do hospitals, when hiring, look for hepatitis b negative surface antigens, negative core antigens or both?
Thank you for your help!!!!
I need input from CRNAs please...

You are asking some very specific questions that are beyond my expertise, but I don't think there is any problem with someone with a history of Hep B working as an RN or CRNA. Everyone must follow universal precautions which protects against exposure to blood borne pathogens, so that should make it a nonissue.
Thank you very much for your response!!!
