Help With LVN to BSN or LVN to RN Pathway Texas or Hawaii

Published

Hi Everyone,

I am sorry if this is not the right place to post this topic, but I am definitely in need of some help!

I have my LPN license for Hawaii and LVN license for Texas. I am currently living in Hawaii and planning on moving back to Texas if the better option is to move back to Texas.

I have a BS in Biology and have all of my pre-reqs done for BSN. I am just wanting to find the fastest pathway in the state of Texas or Hawaii to becoming a RN.

So does anyone know of a good online program OR a good program in Texas or Hawaii?

I need to make a move... a big change for myself... i really need someone who has been in this situation before or has had been in the same situation as myself and can offer some great advice.

Thanks for your time!

ut arlington bsn online

The University of Texas at Arlington is an excellent program but they do not take LVN nurses. You would need to get an associtate degree first.

Specializes in Psych, LTC/SNF, Rehab, Corrections.

Wayland Baptist has an LVN to BSN program.

It's in San Antonio....

Not sure if it's entirely online.

Their BSN program is online, I believe.

RN to BSN...I'm not sure.

I went to WBU online to search out a LVN to BSN program and did not find anything. I only found RN to BSN.

I found Angelo State University ASU and so far, from all the research I have done, this appears to be the best option for online, LVN to RN in Texas, by far. The pre-requisites are minimal and most LVN's have already had some of the courses. I on the other hand, went to Saint Philips 20+ years and my courses do not satisfy any pre-reqs so I have to take the courses. They are also very helpful at ASU and quick to respond to emails and questions. http://www.angelo.edu/dept/nursing/documents/LVNtoRN/LVN_RN_HospitalAffiliateProgramProgress.pdf
