I woke up from bed one day and applied to nursing school, for no apparent reason.

I worked as a paramedic/firefighter for a local county, but found that once achieving that level, I couldnt really advance much. Dead-end (unless I wanted to ride a desk. -Not a chance.)
My biggest problem is that when I get tired of a job, or bored, I get into trouble (grin). County personnel just flat out don't like creativity
Nursing, it offers a challenge, many of 'em are just as crazy as I am, and the best part of it all, is that nursing is so diverse that if (when) I find I'm getting "used to it" or tired of a field, I can get a little training and get into another part of the field.
I like medicine, it feels good to make a difference (and sometimes the smallest things make a big difference) and enjoy the challenges.
Hope I wasn't too late to contribute.
Good luck on your assignment!

I want to become a nurse because of many reasons.
1) It will be fun to work with people, rather then computers, it's seems like a fun place to meet people, even if it is a hospital.
2)I want to prove to myself and to others that I can be something. I have never really pushed myself to work hard, and I'm ready for the challenge.
3) the money because working as a nurse I feel deserves decent pay.
