help, think nursing agency scamming

:spin:Hi I need some advice. Months ago I registered with an angency, Staff Recruitment.au. In my interview I explained to them that I was a nurse in Scotland working in a medical ward. I wanted a job in melbourne, working in a surgical ward, but I was told that because I only had 2 yrs experiece, 1 yr surgical and 1 yr medical I would have great difficulty gaining employment there. They advised me to try Sydney and because I have been working in a medical ward recently it will be a medical ward that the hospitals offer me. Then out the blu they e-mailed me with an offer in a surgical ward, I thought great, accepted. However, I have told them my registration is taking longer than planned, since this I have repeatedly e-mailed them to ask if my surgical position will be kept open but keep being told they will keep a position open. Trying to keep it short here. I feel they are not being direct with me about the surgical position and will now be offered a medical instead. What do you think guy? I had my heart set on this sponsorship.
