Almost_a_nurse2007

Hi everyone: I'm new to this site and it's been really helpful so far! I need as much feedback as possible! I graduated August 2006 with a Bachelors in Psych and a Bachelors in Nursing. That summer, I got a ridiculously insane job offer that would pay more than a great nursing job would......... so I took the job and never took my NCLEX....
Now it's December of 2007, a year and a half later, and I've decided to return to nursing. Where do I even begin? I want to work before taking my boards, but is that even possible? Am I still considered a new grad? What study strategies or exam prep agencies are best?
PLEASE HELP!!!!

hi,
i believe you can still apply for your GN, but most jobs I have seen if hiring for a GN require that you have graduated within the past 6 months.
as far as reivews, google, Kaplan, HURST, HESI, ATI. these are a few. there is also a program that i have only hear great things about here, suzannes plan. do a search on allnurses because i cant remember where the thread is. i think it is on the NCLEX board.
best of luck to you!
