Plenty of people will say it's doable with prioritization, help with the kids and household, and excellent time management.
500 clinical hours may seem like a lot but it is a very minimal amount of training for a future provider.
Generally you do not need to be at a clinical site 5 days a week. That said, the more exposure the better. Seeking to minimize clinical exposure while hoping to gain the responsibility of diagnosing and treating medical conditions is short-sighted and unwise IMO.
You would only expected to complete 80 to 100 hours each semester, which is about 2- 3 days a week. If you have great support system you can work as well. It would be very hard to work when during 1 semester you would be taking both maternity and peds rotation. You would only have 6 weeks to get 50 clinical hours and there is only 1 final exams and a few quizzes.
It is almost imposible to find preceptor for peds rotation for free.
P.s I have to pay $13 for each clinical hours. And $18 for peds rotation.

I am currently going back to school in the BSN to msn program. My dream goal is to be a Nurse practitioner but I am 2 weeks into the BSN program and panicking! I have 2 kids ages 6 and 2 and I have no idea how I will do the clinical stage of the nurse practitioner!!? Any tips or ways to balance being a mom and doing the 500 clinical hours AND working a little bit too? Are you able to only to like 1 or 2 days of clinicals a week or do you have to do 5 days a week everyday
