I just found out this morning that i am about 4 weeks pregnant. i rotate days/nights on busy level one trauma icu, im worried about how my body will adjust. how and when should i tell my nurse manager? thank you.

During my pregnancies my dr told me to continue doing what I was used to doing. You will just have to see how your body adjusts. If your body is used to the rotation hopefully it will continue being okay. 4 weeks is pretty early. I never told until I was 12 weeks or more.

I would have to agree with the post above. If you are already use to doing it you should be able to keep up with it for a while. Just take the cues from your own body. Good luck and Congradulations:balloons:

hi, i was just wondering how this worked out for you. i'm in an icu. i'm about 6 weeks pregnant now. i told my boss last week, thinking i could use whatever support she has to offer throughout my pregnancy. are you back to work? just wondering.
