HELP

Hello everyone!

I just signed on to this wonderful site, I heard that it is really helpful. Here is my story... I am currently a transfer student at a 4-year college. Being a junior with an accounting major I realized that is not what I want to do.(I started volunteering at a local hospital in the ER and I love it!) I applied to get into the nursing program at my school and I got rejected because they don't have enough spaces. i finished all my prerequisites and I cannot take any nursing classes until I get accepted. I have to wait a whole year to apply for the BSN nursing program. In the fall I will only take one class (nutrition). I actually want to start working and gain experience right now since I will have a lot more time on my hands. It will also take me 4 years to get BSN, including this year with just one nutrition class and I am already 22! I was actually thinking of CNA. I would gain experience while going to school. I have no experience but I really want to start somewhere. What should I look into? Please let me know any suggestions! I would really appreciate your help.

THANK YOU ALL,

Anetta

I personally would try to finish that accounting degree or change it to a business management degree while you are waiting for NS to start.

A secondary accounting or business degree can be a very powerful thing in the Nursing field.
