Hi there,. I am new here and I think this site is a big help to those who don't know what to do next... just like me..

I'm from the Philippines, I just arrived(here in Las Vegas) two weeks ago,. I am an RN in the Philippines and I'm planning to take NCLEX here in Vegas, I already applied for CES, in fact i got the report from CES before my flight to the US, I contacted CGFNS and they told me that they mailed my CES report to Nevada State Board of Nursing already...

As far as i know, after receipt of CGFNS-CES report, that will be the time that i could apply for NCLEX...

Since i already received it, What will i do next?

How could i get and complete and submit finger print cards? since I'm here in LV can i use electronic finger printing? is it faster?

When applying for NCLEX, do i still need to contact my school to send my TOR, RLE, Diploma etc. to Nevada State Board of Nursing? cuz i assumed that they already have my CES report so my school credentials are not necessary....

Where can I get NCLEX-RN application form? Is it faster to apply online?

Please give me an idea on what to do next.... cuz i want to do it ASAP...

Thank you so much...

May God continually bless and give you More SUCCESS!!!....

You are not applying for NCLEX but to be a RN in the US of which NCLEX is part of that process. You need to complete form for foreign trained nurses on the BON website. If you have already done CES then you do not need to get your transcripts sent over.

Just wondering with what visa are you in the US with?

There is no such thing as an application for the NCLEX exam, it does not exist. You are going to need to apply for licensure as an RN.

But a few things that you need to be very aware of and that is if you came to the US with a tourist visa, you need to be very aware that you are not going to be able to remain in the US even if you pass that exam. Suspect that if you are in a hurry to get approval to sit for the exam, this is the reason why.

We do not have any visas avaiable for you to adjust to and you are looking at about five year wait for a chance at a green card. Does not matter if someone told you anything different, but this is how things are.

Hi thank you for the reply,..

Yes I am in a hurry to get the approval to sit for the said exam due to a very simple reason, before i came here I took up 3 months NCLEX review class in the Philippines, so before i forget all the things that I've studied as much as possible i wanted to take the exam soon..

I am married to my childhood sweetheart :heartbeat(who happen to be a US citizen), so i am not using a tourist visa,..

Thank you again and God bless you more...

Glad to hear that you did not come here on the tourist visa. That is in your favor.

If you prepared properly for the exam, and did not memorize things but learned them, then there should not be a problem even if you write it six months from now.

You can expect it to take at least 6 weeks or so to get approval to sit for the NCLEX exam once you apply for licensure as an RN to the BON.

Best of luck to you, and you may wish to check out the NCLEX Forum that can be found under the student tab.
