Help for a struggling science student

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

Hi All,

I am currently taking my pre reqs at community college and I am just horrible in my science classes and I am getting really worried that I might not be able to be a nurse because of this. So I have a few questions and if you can answer any of the following, please do!

1. How much science will I need to know once I am a nurse? (how often will I use it)

2. Do you have any advice on how to study in my classes?

THANK YOU

Nursing is science... maybe try CNA instead

To be honest, I'm terrible with science as well. And as someone starting Nursing School this fall, I've learned that knowing science, especially science of the human body, is essential for becoming a nurse. You don't have to be naturally gifted in the science department, as long as you study hard, learn your stuff, and in the end REALLY know how to use it. Just because you don't get it right off the bat doesn't mean you can't get it. Study, study, study is the key!
