will my nclex expires while i am in petition without submitting ss# to the california board of nursing in 2 years?because of the retro i have a slim chance to get a ss# with that period.is that true once u are filed already for the petition it won't affect anymore the nclex and it will not expire either?HELP!what about the IELTS i do have a visa screen already will it also expire?

The same question is asked time and time again. If you don't provide a ss# within 3 years California will toss your file. I've heard that you can request an extension but there's no guarantee that California will extend your file. There's a lot about California written, at the top of the forum you will find stickies, it's best to read up on them because they will answer your questions. You might also want to get in contact with the CA BRN because they can help you even further. Good Luck

whats the best thing for me to do?can i apply for another state that is not requiring an ss# in order to release my license?

If you do a search on here you will find your answers. There are many topics about this particular situation. I've heard that Vermont doesn't require a social security number for licensure, but you do need a social security and a valid visa in order to work in the US. Go to Vermonts BRN website and see what their requirements are. Good Luck

can they release a license for me even if i did not take my nclex in VERMONT/is it possible for them to release a license just by forwarding my nclex to them by CA-BRN?please help im confuse! i know i cannot work without a visa a ss# number i just want my license to be release.thanks

sorry but im still confuse my only ques is that will VEROMONT release my license even i pass the exam in california?can ca-brn endorse without releasing my license>HELP!

California isn't endorsing a license, all they're doing is sending your NCLEX results to Vermont. You don't need a ss# to apply for licensure. Whether Vermont will release a hard copy or not I'm not sure. That's why I provided the link to the two boards of nursing so you can read up on international applicants. If you also do a search on here regarding Vermont and California you will find plenty of information that will be helpful. Stop relying on others to do your homework for you. Good Luck

Why is it important to get a license? There are several states now that require SSN before releasing a license however there is currently only Ca that destroys your file, unless you ask for a extension or submit a SSN. For immigration you only need a pass in NCLEX or CGFNS exam you do not need a license and once in the US with a valid immigrant/work visa you can easily sort out a license once you have a SSN

ah ic so if CA will destrroy my files i can easily get a license from another state?and if i have a valid visa already can i re-apply another license to CA provided i already have an SS#?THANKS:wink2:

You need to get your NCLEX results transferred to another state (by application) before your file is destroyed (unless you have asked for and granted a extension) if your file is destroyed then your NCLEX results are destroyed. Once you have a valid work/immigrant visa and SSN you can easily sort things out with Ca although may need to resend your application with them

Nobody said the process was going to be easy. If you don't already have a visa in process, then the process is going to be a longgggg wait and not to mention the chances of getting one are slim to none. If California destroys your file and you never made the move to the next state then you have to start the process all over again. Make sure you have all your ducks in a row before moving forward Good Luck
