I am a CNA trying for my pharmacy tech certificate I am also a medicene tech.

I have tried everything, I have a problem with rounding off numbers.

Here are the questions:

1)Calculate the number of mL to administer with each dose. Round your answer to the nearest tenth.

Ordered: Chloroquine hydrochloride 300 mg IM daily

On hand: Chloroquine hydrocholride 200 mg/mL 5mL Multi-Dose Vial

I came up with 7.5, but I think it is wrong.

2)Calculate the number of mL to administer with each dose. Round your answer to the nearest tenth.

Ordered: Epoetin Alfa 2500 units sub-q tiw

On hand: Epoetin Alfa 4000 units/mL Single-Dose Vial

I came up with 1.5ml

My goodness, do we get calculators in the med room or we have to do all of this off the top of our heads?! Haha
yes..this must be memorized.

yes..this must be memorized.

You can obviously do your math on a calculator, but you have to know what math you are DOING or it won't be right anyway...make sense?

I'm sorry, I have a hard time with people coming here to get answers to their homework. :(
