Honestly, if you are trying to get into any nursing program worth its salt your GPA is not going to be the end all, be all. I CANNOT tell you how many people I know that entered the nursing program I am currently in with a 3.8-4.0 and crashed and burned terribly. Your ability to study and retain information is not the only factor. They are going to be looking hard at your references, your essay or interview, and your TEAS test score. The TEAS test is specifically designed for pre-nursing students to make a determination to their ability to think and perform as a proficient nurse. The whole entire package is important. DO NOT get hung up on your GPA. Yes, it is important but it is not everything. A 4.0 is not going to do you any good if you have lousy references or a poorly put together/less then impressive essay, etc...Good luck to you!

If I have a 3.5 overall and 3.6 science gpa, but I have 2 Cs in which I got in sociology and statistics which brought down my prereq to a 3.3 how bad does this look to bsn programs?
