Hello everyone!:) quick question, do we get penalized if we are not able to complete the interviews for mds before or during ard? I have not seen anything written on rai that says anything about the matter. I know that setting the ard late or early automatically gives you default rate right?

Btw, if you have to choose bet late interviews but timely ard vs late ard and late interviews which would it be? thank you!!

Like you said, interviews must be done on or before the ARD. "Late interview" is extraneous and should not be entered in the MDS. If missed, simply skip the interview and perform the staff assessment. You don't get penalized when an interview is not conducted unless it's prevalent. Good policy is to document why it was not done.

Within 30 days, as long as the condition is related to the condition for which the resident received hospital services.

Thank you! Does he need to be in hospital for the iv infusion? I think it will only be for 6 days..would that matter? Yup. We're in the 30 day window. :yes:

Either I'm misleading you or simply misunderstanding your question.

The current condition requiring IVF must have a relation to the condition for which the resident received treatment while in the hospital prior to admission to the facility when Med A was first initiated.

The IV infusion must take place while a resident of the facility.

Hi guys! Quick question..if a patient was Ltc completed an admission assessment prior was dra and came back medicare. Should I do a 5day/admission again? Thank you!!!!
