Published

Hi everyone,im an international student and im planning to change my state for nclex from MI to nevada or texas. It would be my 3rd attempt and i have to make it this time. I would like to ask if i can apply for nevada or i have to apply for cgfns again which will cost me another 450.please advise. Thank you

hey u have go through again for whole process. you have to place order for ces reevalution report for board where u want to apply and pay fee.than u have to send application to board and see what their requirement.

If your application expires If your initial application expires, you may qualify for a reprocess application. You are given 12 months to meet the requirements of the initial application order, after which it expires. If an initial application that has been paid in full expires, you have up to 12 months to apply for a reprocess (another 12 months on that application) and fully pay the reprocess fee listed in the fees table at http:// http://www.cgfns.org/sections/apply/fees.shtml#5. If you have NOT paid in full, or if fees paid were applied to previous services, and the initial application order expires, you do not qualify for the reprocess, but must submit a new application and pay the full fee to have 12 months to process the application and complete all the requirements. The subsequent 12 months begins when we receive the application. Only one reprocess application is accepted after an initial CES application expires.

I got this above information from their cgfns hand book .Before selecting states look for their requirement .hope this will help you.

Not sure how NV will look at your previous NCLEX exams as they have a limit of 3 times then you have to enroll in a refresher course or something like that. You should be okay just make sure you pass on the 3rd attempt.

Just in the case, NV also requires the local country's nurse license now as of Jan. 2013.

Thanks everyone, i have one more question, if i wont be taking my last attempt within 12 months, do i still need to take refresher course? And do i need to process my again ?

Oh, oh, I forgot to mention that NV recently started to enforce the concurrency rules that's been in their policy since 1952 or so (someone posted their denial letter from the NV BON).

You'll find there have been several posters that have been denied the ATT if not for the concurrency but because of missing courses or the PA class, meaning you need to find a NV school to make up for the deficiency.

It is a case-by-case basis so you will not really know till you submit your non-refundable application and wait months for the results from the NV BON, as some kabayans have been lucky, but hard to tell if that's because they submitted their applications earlier like in CA when it was enforced sometime in late-2011.

With regards to the refresher course, you still have one more NCLEX to take, correct? You're not passed the 3rd attempt, just the 2nd time, if so, you're safe. But maybe not a bad idea to enroll in one that's geared towards the NCLEX. Good luck!
