Help please... Endorsing fr. California to texas

i was wondering about the requirements of the texas BON (endorsement RN)...

am i still eligble coz i just found out 3 days ago that i passed but i have CA license and i don't have any experience over there and now i'm currently residing here in texas. am i still eligible to apply TX license?

thanks guys...one more doubt.do texas board of nursing need nursing transcript for endorsment???..i already had submitted this transcript to california board of nursing...and from where we can get the verification of license form???..i could'nt find it in the texas endorsement application form...i had found VOL form for international graduate RN application forms...is that the same VOL form i have to use for endorsement also...plz reply me....

no.. texas bon dont need the nursing transcript. they just need the verifications.. what i remember, the verification form is included in the RN endorsement application packet http://www.bon.state.tx.us/olv/pdfs/rnend.pdf ...

hi there!

i am currently endorsing my license from california to texas. i already applied for it, paid. i printed out the license verification form to be sent to california,, but i dont know what department of california BRN should i send it?

i have checked on their website and i ddnt find any specifics for out of state endorsements. i found their usual mailing address tho? should i just send it there?? or any specific department/address? thanks for the help guys!!! appreciate it

Hi reinAya,

Call the telephone number provided on the California BON website;, and it will take you to the directions for endorsement, and give you the address to send the form to.

one more question,, i applied online for tx license endorsement last friday, so today, it's been 2 days (minuds weekend; sat and sun).. i am aware i need to do a livescan fingerprint... do i need to wait for TX BON to send me a confirmation/email/mail that i could schedule my fingerprint at ld1solutions??? or i would just schedule it without any words from TX BON? i'm really confused..

and when do i know that i'm already scheduled for the TX jurisprudence exam???

i took ca-nclex-rn last week and found my name on brn couple days ago and thinking same way that endorse my license from california to texas. i am a foreing nurse also. it seems like i have to contact my nursing school and ministry of health, labour and welfare to get my other RN license verification from my country.

i have questions, during and after endorsement process, can i still looking for a job for both places? after license is endorsed and get parmanent license from texas, is it possible to keep california license with active states? just wondering......

if somebody know, please give me a info.thanks.

Thanks for the info guys. Once more question, Dibuh did you need to provide verification of license from your home country to Texas?

I am reading Texas BON website and see the following sentence:

" For Internationally Licensed Nurses: If you have a nursing license from a country other than the United States, you must request a verification of licensure from that state, country, province or territory. Verificaiton must come directly from the licensing authority"

hi guys..im a newbie here..im a CA NCLEX passer..i dont hav d CA license yet coz i lack d SSN..im gathering much infos so that I could endorse mine to texas..please help me guys..I am a Filipino & still here in d country..may I solicit ur opinions on how am I supposed to answer the ENDORSEMENT paket particularly SECTION B: Nurse Compact Declaration..item # 9...it has sumthin to do wd the declaration of primary state of residence..wil I just put Philippines on this item??

9) In accordance with the Nursing Practice Act, section 304.001, art. 4 and 22 TAC 220.2, I declare that the State of_____________________

is my primary state of residence and that such constitutes my permanent and principal home

for legal purposes.

10) Upon licensure in Texas, in which state(s) do you intend to practice?

@ hu shi: i guess we r in same situation..u lack d SSN too ryt??how far hv u gone wid ur application??

when you endorse your license to texas, you'll have two licenses now.. california and texas. you can still maintain your california license.. just dont forget to renew it whenever it expires

reinaya.. have you figured this out already? i think tx bon wont schedule your fingerprint. you're the one who will schedule yourself through ld1solutions website.. and for verifcation form, the direction is in the verification form itself.

i just got my temporary license, the process is pretty simple. and yes, you will have to write there philippines...

and i put texas on number 10 bec that is where i intend to practice.

you dont need ssn to endorse your license to texas....
