Help in Passing NCLEX-RN

Hello Everyone, I will be graduating soon from nursing school (December). This is my dilema;

My friends and acquintances that graduated from nursing school have sworn by KAPLAN-RN as a choice of preparing for NCLEX. The KAPLAN people actually come to my school every semester and this time they were here. The KAPLAN costs $400 and everyone (literally) in my class has signed up except me. The problem is I dont have the money to sign up and in 1 weeks, it goes up to about $500. People are encouraging me to gather money and lend if I can because KAPLAN is supposed to be the "best" preparation. I am a novice win all this and our professors have not spoken to us about preparing for the exam. I need help on good study materials that I can get to help me prepare without spending $500.

Thanks.

Many, many people pass NCLEX with no more than a $40 or $50 dollar review book. If you don't have the money for a test prep course, just gear up to use a review book. Look at Saunders Comprehensive Review, the Linda LaCharity book on prioritization, and the Kaplan review book for test-taking strategies. That is what most people use. Good luck.

If you don't have any choice or money to take the Kaplan I suggest to self study which I did because my self didn't have that kind of money..... So i suggest La charity 2nd edition and Davis Q and A latest edition. i took my nlcex sept 27 , i had a good pop up in PVT.

Good luck..... I hope that helps.... :dancgrp:
