Hi my name is Stephanie, I'm from Miami Florida. I'll be taking the HESI EXIT REAL SOON. My school has started with the HESI and they don't know much about HESI. It is require for all the students to take this test to pass the program. I've read the HESI book, especially med surg., because I feel like that's my weakness. I've done sander, peasrson , cram and some question online. However I still feel like I'm lost. Every time I take these test I score 60% to 70% and I need a 75% to pass. My question to you is it ok, just to read the book from HESI ? HESI do provide online access and yes I did there questions to but I didn't read the comprehensive part because I read the book...is that ok? Also how's HESI question are ,are there really in dept with critical thinking? Because when I do question from sander I score high because there straight toward question. Is HESI like that ? Do HESI have a lot of select that apply?
PLEASE HELP
I REALLY NEED IT...
THANK YOU VERY MUCH
STEPHANIE
I'm writing a update about the HESI. I took it and unfortunately i failed, not too happy about it. i study hard , I took a week off from work to really focus on this test. Well over all this test (HESI PN EXIT) wasn't that hard. And yes i failed, but i knew my weakness. I know you probably saying how i fail knowing i know my weakness. WelL I'm not using this as an excuse but i been out of PN in school for a while and I'm studying on my own. My next step is to find a tutor and i need it BAD.
I got stuck on Nursing Act and Med Surg. I thought i did the math calculation right but i did all them wrong. Med SURG IS MY WEAKNESS. Peds/Maternity, i scored high on. I need to work on nursing skills. Who ever taking the Hesi exit , don't stress it. Make sure u practice a lot of nclex questions, focus, picture, calculation, nursing act, sounds on the heart/respiratory, peds/maternity, MED. SURG. MED SURG. MED. SURG. I'M TELLING YOU FUTURE NURSES CONTINUE TO HAVE FAITH, DON'T GIVE UP, KEEP YOUR HEAD UP HIGH. THAT'S WHAT I'M DOING.
By the way my score was a 750 conversion score 70.89%, I needed a 850 conversion score 75%.
GOD BLESS AND THANK YOU

My school made us pass the HESI RN with a 900 or greater to pass. Basically the questions are weighted differently. Peds and Maternity are worth less points than Med Math, cardiac, respiratory and neuro. There is a site called Hesi study. Com Basically it's 90 bucks but if you fail they refund your money Try that.
thank you very much, I'll definilty check out that site...hesi study.com

Set yourself a goal of doing a certain number of questions every day. Med/surg is the foundation of everything you do. If you do well in maternal child health, you are also answering med/surg questions. Use the online resources that are available to you. Make sure the questions you do have the rationales so you can review as to why the answer you picked may have been wrong. You may also do well to review test taking strategies, sometimes it isn't that you do not know the answer but that you get to anxious about taking the test. I have found that practicing questions rather than reading all the material is the best way to prepare for these types of exams.
Thank u for the advise, I really really appreciate it....a lot of question here I come...

Just took pharm HESI on 3/27, got a 776, needed an 800. Implementation was the big difference. pass or fail, stay and read the breakdown chart analysis of how you did and what you did well on and what you did not do well on. It's about 15 pages, but it's very important. I did the case studies and module eight and all the lessons for the pharm test. I have my fundamentals HESI on Wednesday, message me back if there's anything else I can help you with.
I'm very embarrass to say, but I attended Sunshine training Center... Terrible school and I will never recommend NO ONE TO THAT SCHOOL. They do not help u at all.
Thank you and I pray that The Lord be with you on your next exam.

I passed the hesi the first time with an 1182. Read the hesi review book & pay attention to the hesi hints. Yourbestgrade.com is a great tool. The questions are basically just like the hesi questions or the hesi questions will come from the rational. If you don't know what something is in the question or do not know the material within the question, LOOK IT UP! Read about the subject & really know it. You have to know the material to do well. Honestly a 850-900 is more than doable, but you have to prepare. Med math is worth a lot of points & it will make you or brake you! I take my 2nd hesi on two days & my goal is 1250. Set goals, study hard, and know that hesi book! Good luck!
Thank you love, I did call yourbestgrade.com and they told me they only provide 200 questions for PN practice question for $97, I'm take a chance and purchase it. Thank you again and please pray for me. I need a 950 and above. I'm really aiming for 1000 and above.
