Hello fellow nurses,
I start my nurse resident program on a short stay unit at a local hospital hours are 6 a - 6p. I’m starting to get nervous. Any tips? Anything I can review/study before I start. I am rusty I graduated in 2018, worked at a LTC unit for 10 months, took a year off and starting on this unit. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Do you still have your med-surg and cardiac (or complex care) text books? Perhaps review those topics you mentioned and start from there. When you get to the unit, you will other topics/tasks you may want to review on in a text, article, video, or whatever and just always remember - you never stop learning ? Good luck!
Thank you!

based on the job responsibilities you added, I think you can review on Fundamentals of nursing and then just always show up for your shift, you'll get the hang of being a nurse again. Best of luck!
