Hi I have am a new graduate and got my LVN license 2 and a half months ago I have been on two interview so far and haven't landed the job. When they start asking scenario questions I seem to just stumble around the question and walk out of the interview knowing I didn't do my best. Is there any advice out there or even something I could review that will help me through this??

To make the best impression during an interview you should always answer a question put to you as a scenario, whether it is or not, because that gives the interviewer the best impression of what you are capable of and what you are like. If they ask you "How do you handle stress?" You don't say I am laid back, handle stress well blah blah, you say "Well at so and so job things could get very stressful and I handled it this way or that way (add in good details here)". Always give an example of how you did something at a previous job, paint a picture for them.
What you need to do is look up various scenario questions and possible answers, to give you an idea of what you need to search your memory for. Right these down and practice. If you can have someone practice with you, all the better. Practice out loud is the best, because you need to get used to making your words flow and not stumbling around.

Research interview questions and practice a mock interview with someone that has been to several professional interviews. Ideally practice with someone that you are intimidated by. It will give you an accurate gauge of your nervousness in the real interview. Find someway to become more confident. If you have the attitude of "I am the best person for this job." Dress professionally (think business attire), sit up straight, look them in the eye when answering their questions, get a leather folder that has a pocket for your resume and notepad. Take notes about the main things the interviewer says about the job or facility. Do your research on the facility. Who are the main people. If you are thinking "Please pick me, I hope I get the job" and look down all the time, slouching in the chair, can't answer questions about the job you are applying for then the impression is that you don't really want the job or don't care about doing a good job. What can you do to make your stand out over other candidates?
