hi yeah u need t decide which state you need to work for and then register with that particular board of nursing and then acoording to the requirements proceed withe cgfns or some other credential evaluation service they accept.....hope it helps ...i am a international nurse too so know a little for my state which is texas
You need to know where in the US you will be living, then call the Board of Registration in Nursing (or whatever it's called in that state) and ask them how to proceed. Each state may have slightly different requirements and you need to make them happy before anything else can happen. Good luck!

hi im an irish nurse,have worked as a staff nurse for past two years in ireland but have american citizenship, i have been doing alot of research and need help in the process of not only sitting the nclex exam but the general procedure of actually being able to work as a nure in the u.s. Do i firstly register with a nursing board in america,then get cgfns to asses my credentials and then apply to take nclex with pearsons vue and get my att date,very confused and so far proving to be expensive,any other irish nures out there,help would be greatly appreciated x
