hey there!

i just got married couple of months ago. i am reviewing now for the state board. my school already sent my transcripts and other requirements to the board of nursing. my transcripts has still my maiden name. what should i write in my application form? my new last name or my "single name" ? i do not want any delays or any discrepancy on my application. i want to make sure so they can process and evaluate my papers on time. kindly help me if you know anything about this. i would greatly appreciate any knowledge you have on this matter. thanks guys! :blushkiss

The things that worked for me:

Read the question, decide what you think the answer should be before you read the choices, then look for your choice. Do not read the question and think about "if's"... if the situation was this then i'd do...read the question and answer based on the info given, period. If 2 or more answers are right, which do you do FIRST? THAT is your answer. Lastly, GO WITH YOUR GUT!!! You will learn with time exactly how reliable it is! GOOD LUCK!!!

Whole heartly AGREE!;)

Choice C: Relax and get a good nights sleep prior to testing. The info is in you, the test just brings it out. Also, try to RELAX!

Good luck hon.

I legally changed my name and it won't become officially changed until the end of April. I have already sent my application for RN licensure and have registered for the NCLEX exam. I asked the board of nursing as well as the person who took my registration for the NCLEX exam about my name change and I was told to keep my old name until after I get my license in order to prevent any delay.

I hope this helps.

If your school has done its job you have taken samples of the NCLEX and are probably ready for the real thing. Don't exhaust yourself, remember your test taking strategies, you'll do fine if you paid attention in school, IMO! Good luck!:)

Thanks to Shar, pinoyrn,matts..for your reply. Appreciate it a lot.

Have a great day always.
