Hi-
I have two LVN friends in the Bay Area who got jobs as new grads. One at Fremont Kaiser, and one at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center. The one in Contra Costa briefly worked at St Rose in Hayward and hated it. (understaffed, very high stress)
Bump
still looking for info on new grad programs in SF. I'll be in SF next week for spring break and looking at hospitals and the city.
Really interested in any info on which hospitals would be a good place to start, AND also which facilities to avoid!!

You can go to the different hospital websites and look for new grad programs. UCSF has a new grad program (ususally 8 to 12 weeks long depending on the unit). Sorry I don't know anything more about it. I would also suggest you contact the hospitals HR depts directly. Good luck.

Mills Peninsula in Burlingame (15 miles from the city), I believe, has a good new grad program. I interviewed with them ( didn't because it wasn't in the city). I wish I had taken it because their program is solid. I have their phone #. email me if you have any questions. I live in the city. [email protected]
