HELP: In Need of a Nice Tote/Bag for Clinicals

Published

Hello everyone. I was just wondering what type of bag do you carry to clinicals? I am looking for something that is not too big but can carry my clipboard, drug guide, stethescope, and other small items that I have to bring with me. I am trying to decide between a tote, drawstring like gym bag, or crossbody bag. Also did you get yours personalized? I know that we have limited space so I am trying not to carry too much.

Also did you pack your own lunch? I would like to but that is just something extra for me to carry.

In my school most people carry backpacks to clinical. I have this Code Happy tote bag which has worked very well so far: Amazon.com: Code Happy Women's Fashion Tote, Black, One Size: Clothing

I bought a 'business' style tote and it's ok. I liked that there were dividers in it but I now hate that the middle divider is a pocket. I want to keep some things zipped up, but it ends up bulging and makes it so other items are difficult to fit in the openings on either side.

I also wish I had gotten a tote that doubled as a cross body bag just for the versatility of it. If I bring coffee in with me it's annoying to have both hands full or the tote fall off my shoulder and bang the door as I'm opening it. I'm sure this sounds super picky and probably very mean girls or something, but it's the small things that add up. I went for cheap and should have gone for functional.

Go to a craft store, they have a number of WASHABLE canvas totes in various sizes and colors...You can embellish them if you wish.I have several -small ones I use as lunch bags and larger ones that hold my lap top.....
