its a good thing we have this online forum for nurses.

hi. i just graduated last march 2007 here in the philippines. i am currently working as a volunteer nurse in a small private hospital here in baguio while waiting the results of my application to work in one of the hospitals in riyadh. reading and hearing positive and negative comments about the place i'm quiet confused and having mixed emotions of anxiety, excitement and fear.

since its my first time to work outside the country. i want to ask for your opinions and those who had been there what will i expect, how is nursing there? what will i be packing and so forth and so on. i'll be expecting your output which will be helpful . thanks.:wink2:

I've never been there, but just wanted to suggest that you try the International Forum for more responses.

i guess Riyadh is a good place for nurses there r very good hospitals

u need to know arabic ofcourse

please post the site of the hospital

It is my understanding that you do not need to know Arabic (it would help, of course). But I have read that English is widely spoken in the hospitals.

Regardless of how nice they may make it sound, I would seriously suggest you reconsider. That is my polite way of saying don't go. I spent two years living there (Saudi) and no money in the world would make me consider going back.
