HI all!!
Im applying to Gastons LPN to RN program. They sent out an email last week letting everyone know there are no more testing dates for the ATI PN predictor test. This is a requirement for the program. Deadline is Nov 15th. They never told us in the info session that the test is only given on Wednesday's. There are lots of others wanting to test but they will not add more test dates. Im hoping someone knows of another college that gives this test, I am willing to travel. Im currently in the Charlotte NC area. Any helpful info is very appreciated! I would hate to have to wait a whole year to apply again because i cant take the test.

I don't think you are allowed to take that test anywhere else.. I applied to Gastons LPN to RN bridge program as well- I live over an hour away and asked if I was able to test somewhere closer & they gave me a hard NOPE! They will only accept test results from THEIR testing site ?
Perhaps they are willing to make an exception since there are so many others wanting to test & apply? I asked them a few months ago, so things do change.
I'm sorry, I would call the testing site and ask if any openings are available & to let you know if a spot opens up.

Thanks for the info! Did you get into Gaston? Looking at online options now. Waiting to see if I was accepted to RCCC bridge but was low on point scale because of my classes aging out ?

I just applied earlier this month- I won't know until acceptance letters go out in February to find out if i got accepted. I have a pretty good feeling about it though- I was only 2 points shy of having the max points possible.
We are really limited as to the options for these bridge programs ? They are all so far away from where I live ?
I didn't know RCCC had a bridge program! Thats only 2 semesters long!!! I wonder what they're schedule is like... You may get in! Stranger things have happened ?
GOOD LUCK EITHER WAY!!! ?
they just sent out an email stating that they added another test date.. GET ON IT GIRL!!!!
Yes they sure did!! Yay i got a spot to take the test on the 11th. In my LPN program we used Kaplan. Do you have any advice for me on how to study for this test! Im sure you'll get into this program with being 2 points shy of the max points. Way to go!!
Congratulations!!! Hopefully we will both see each other IRL summer semester ??
As for studying, did you get ANY ATI materials during your LPN program? Gaston used a bunch of their books & at the end we got a really great comprehensive ATI text that was really useful for NCLEX studying. I found most of the proctored test super easy, after how hard their LPN program was, that test was like common sense except for some meds that were out of the blue & had no clue what they were ??
No, beside the TEAS test I've never taken an ATI test. My LPN program at Rowan used Kaplan to prepare us for the NCLEX. Im just nervous because I want a good score on this predictor test so I can apply to the program.

Besides the books, those practice tests helped. They were included in pricing in my LPN program but i found them helpful before the proctored test. Some questions on the practice was on the proctored one ?♀️
