Hello everyone I'm a RN that is thinking about transitioning from hospital into home health. I have interview this Friday and would like some advice at what type of questions should I make sure to ask? Also what type of questions can I expect them to ask me? I've only had one interview and it was more personality based.... will they be quizzing me??? It's a salary position what should I ask for? I live in AZ and have been an RN for 4 yrs on a tele unit. Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!

Many agencies and hospices are scams, and I've been ripped off by two of them that fled town in the dark of night, without paying their staff. How to weed out the rats: Check for a state operating license from the department of health. Check to see if they've registered as a corporation with the state- and if they've changed their company name repeatedly (may indicate an attempt to avoid lawuits). Check your city codes, and business tax office to see if they have a business and tax license, when they started business, if they pay their taxes, and otherwise in compliance. Check the BBB to look for complaints or scams. Check the local court sites for pending lawsuits. Google the company, and every member of management and the owners to 'background check' them, just as they will do to you. Then, if you're satisfied that the place is legit? Fill out an application. (And BTW- no reason not do this for any prospective employer- they will check you out, you should check them out. Welcome to the reality, and convenience, of the digital age).

BTW? Why not do the same even if you are already employed? A few of you will find your employer has filed for bankrupcty, is being sold, is delinquent on taxes, and etc. And don't just use Google- check all the main search engines (Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, etc.)- they all will show you different reports. Search your own name, you'll be amazed.
