Good evening everyone. I have to do a montage type notebook for my human growth and development class on the stages of development. We covered prenatal to death and I need lots of pictures of the different stages. I have tried googling for them but don't seem to find many. Anyone have any suggestions of a good place to find them. She says they cannot be from our textbook. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Donna

We had this in my Nursing fundamentals so research Erik Erikson, a psychoanalyst who was a follower of Freud. Erikson took Freud's main concepts and expanded them to include non-physical criteria. He understood that people were individuals and that age did not affect individuality. Erikson's observatoins indicated a variable that was different from the psychosexual and age-specific theory offered by Freud. The variable is the emotional component. The developmental tasks that he described are always listed as contradictions of each other. The entries are choices that all individuals get to make, they are neither negative or positive, right or wrong. They are simply choices, and most choices can be revised as a person goes through life.
Example: Intimacy versus isolation (ages 20-40) The young adult is faced with choices related to occupation, futher education, relationships, living environment, and independence.
There's more and I hope you can find them. Good luck!

Try looking in parenting magazines because they usually have articles related to the stages of growth and have accompanying pictures with them.:monkeydance:
